Compulsory Evacuation Device

Compulsory Evacuation Device was originally released in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as a staple defensive trap card that allows players to return a monster on the field to its owner's hand. Its function is to disrupt an opponent's momentum by bypassing destruction protection, a mechanic that has kept the card relevant across multiple formats and ban lists throughout its lifespan.

This specific printing originates from the Duel Terminal 3 set, released as part of the specialized arcade-integrated terminal system in North America. These cards are distinct for their unique 'Duel Terminal' parallel rare finish, which gives the surface a highly textured, holographic quality. The design features iconic, utilitarian artwork that has remained largely consistent since its debut, reflecting a straightforward tactical approach to field control that is highly valued by competitive players.
