Compulsory Evacuation Device

Compulsory Evacuation Device is a staple trap card in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, originally debuting in the early 2000s and gaining long-term relevance due to its simple, effective ability to return a monster to the hand. Its inclusion in the 2022 Tactical Masters booster set, designated TAMA-EN044, serves as a common reprint within a modern expansion that focused heavily on new archetypes like Labrynth and Runick. As a rare-tier card within this specific set, it provides players with a functional, defensive tool that has remained a classic utility choice for deck builders throughout the game's evolving meta.

The design of the card features the classic, clean aesthetic associated with the game's support traps, emphasizing clarity of its disruptive effect. While Konami’s internal design teams are responsible for the card’s ongoing updates and aesthetic formatting, the card’s enduring status is rooted in its versatility. Within the context of the Tactical Masters set, it acts as a reliable support piece that balances the more complex strategies introduced by the new card themes, ensuring that even veteran players have access to foundational mechanics alongside the latest competitive strategies.
