Fissure

Fissure is a classic normal spell card that first appeared in the earliest days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as one of the fundamental pieces of removal for players. Designed to destroy the face-up monster with the lowest ATK on the opponent's side of the field, it reflects the game's initial focus on simple, high-impact interactions that favored board control. Its inclusion in Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World was intended to evoke nostalgia, reissuing iconic cards that helped define the early competitive landscape during the era of Yugi Muto.

The artwork for Fissure features a stark, dramatic visual of a cavernous crack opening in the earth, which aligns with the elemental theme of the card's effect. As a super-rare iteration within the Mega Pack, the LCYW-EN055 print utilizes the glossy finish characteristic of the set's premium card stock. Over the years, while the power creep of the game has shifted away from such conditional removal, this particular version remains a popular piece for collectors who appreciate the history of the game's foundational mechanics.
