Mirror Force

Mirror Force was first introduced as an Ultra Rare card in the 2002 Metal Raiders expansion, quickly establishing itself as a staple of early competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! play. Its design, featuring a reflective barrier that destroys all face-up attack position monsters controlled by the opponent, was intended to serve as a high-stakes defensive equalizer. The artwork, depicting a swirling vortex of energy, became iconic within the trading card game community for its ability to drastically shift the momentum of a duel.

The version included in Starter Deck: Yugi Reloaded (YSYR-EN040) represents a later print run designed to modernize the introductory experience for new players. By re-releasing the card in a common rarity, Konami ensured that classic, powerful utility cards remained accessible to a new generation of duelists. This specific iteration maintains the original mechanical design while updating the aesthetic presentation to align with the layout standards established in the game's later years.
