Summoned Skull

Summoned Skull first appeared in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as one of the most iconic high-level normal monsters from the original Starter Deck Yugi. Its design, characterized by a fearsome, skeletal demon aesthetic, draws heavily from dark fantasy tropes common in the late 1990s. The artwork was intended to convey overwhelming raw power, acting as a centerpiece for players who lacked the resources to summon more complex tribute monsters at the time.

The Duel Terminal 5a version, marked as DT05-EN001, represents a specialized reprint within the Duel Terminal arcade-integrated series. These cards were distributed primarily through arcade cabinets in Japan and later via limited releases in the West, featuring a distinct texture and foil technology that set them apart from standard printings. This iteration is valued by collectors today as a preservation of the classic creature's legacy, rendered through the unique aesthetic sensibilities of the Duel Terminal era.
