Where it came from
Autogenes Training by Rüdiger Siegel was produced in 2012 as a specialized instructional resource focused on the practice of autogenic training. This self-help technique, originally developed by psychiatrist Johannes Heinrich Schultz in the early 20th century, uses a series of visualizations and physical sensations to induce a state of deep relaxation. Siegel designed this audio CD to provide a guided, meditative framework for practitioners, aiming to make these complex psychological exercises accessible for home use.
The production maintains a minimalist aesthetic, consistent with its non-label independent distribution. By focusing on vocal clarity and pacing, Siegel sought to provide an unobtrusive auditory environment that facilitates concentration and physiological regulation. While the release remains an obscure niche item within the wider field of wellness and relaxation media, it serves as a representative example of the self-published instructional recordings that gained popularity in Germany to support holistic stress management practices.
