Where it came from
The Giga Speaker (Type B) was released in 2013 by the label Badeggbox as a central release in the discography of the experimental electronic artist Gigamous. During this period, the label focused on blending lo-fi aesthetic sensibilities with high-fidelity digital production, positioning this CD as a physical object intended to bridge the gap between niche internet music culture and tangible media collecting.
The design of the packaging reflects the label's commitment to visual minimalism, favoring stark, abstract geometry that mirrors the repetitive, rhythmic structures found within the audio. While the release remained a specialized item within the underground electronic scene, it gained critical notice for its cohesive art direction and the way it treated the physical disc as a conceptual component of the album's overall sonic identity.
