Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft #242

Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft, often referred to by collectors as the DDSH, is a long-running German comic series launched by Ehapa Verlag in 1965. Originally conceived to reprint high-quality material from the American Disney comic archives, the series became a cultural cornerstone for German-speaking audiences. Issue #242, released in the late 1990s, fits into the series' established format of presenting curated stories, often featuring the work of masters like Carl Barks or Don Rosa alongside other prominent Disney artists.

The aesthetic of the Sonderheft series is defined by its compact digest size and its focus on character-driven narratives that transcend simple humor. The covers and internal content were handled by a dedicated editorial team at Ehapa, which aimed to maintain a consistent tone of lighthearted adventure that resonated across generations. Over the decades, these issues have been widely received as essential reading for European Disney fans, valued primarily for their accessibility and the high standard of printing that brought classic comic art to a broader demographic.
