La Zorra y el Cuervo #10

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s. Produced during a period of significant cultural shifts in Cuba, the magazine served as a platform for political satire, social commentary, and caricature. It reflected the unique artistic landscape of the era, where illustrators were tasked with balancing sharp wit with the aesthetic sensibilities sanctioned by the state-run publishing houses.

Issue number 10 exemplifies the stylistic approach of the series, which heavily relied on the interplay between traditional folk fables and contemporary domestic issues. The design featured bold, high-contrast line work characteristic of mid-century graphic design in Havana, often utilizing a collaborative approach where various prominent local cartoonists contributed to the satirical bite of the publication. The series was well-regarded for its accessibility and remained a staple of Cuban periodical literature for decades.
