Roarin' Rick's Rare Bit Fiends #9

Roarin' Rick's Rare Bit Fiends was an experimental anthology comic series created and self-published by Rick Veitch throughout the 1990s. The series served as a creative laboratory for Veitch, who is renowned for his work on Swamp Thing and his unique approach to surrealist storytelling. Each issue explored the nature of dreams, the subconscious, and the bizarre imagery that emerges from the sleeping mind, often utilizing a shifting visual style that reflected the chaotic and fluid nature of dream states.

Issue number 9 continues the series' established pattern of blending underground comic aesthetics with avant-garde narrative structures. Veitch designed these works to bypass traditional editorial constraints, allowing him to experiment with pacing and surrealist iconography. The series gained a dedicated cult following among fans of alternative comics, praised for its uncompromising artistic vision and Veitch's ability to capture the uncanny logic of human dreaming.
