Secrets of Haunted House #41

Secrets of Haunted House was a long-running anthology series published by DC Comics during the late 1970s and early 1980s, emerging from a period when the publisher leaned heavily into supernatural and horror-themed storytelling. Issue number 41, released in late 1981, served as a standard entry in this series, functioning as a curated collection of eerie tales designed to capture the interest of readers who enjoyed the gothic, atmospheric suspense popularized by the Comics Code-approved horror titles of that era.

The visual identity of this issue, as with others in the series, relied on a rotating cast of established artists and writers who contributed to DC's mystery line. These stories were crafted to prioritize mood and twist endings, often featuring signature narrators such as Abel, Cain, and Eve to frame the narratives. The reception of these issues was generally favorable among enthusiasts of classic horror comics, as the title maintained a consistent commitment to illustrative storytelling that emphasized shadows and tension.
