The Savage She-Hulk #10

The Savage She-Hulk #10, released in November 1980, is part of the original run of the series that introduced Jennifer Walters to the Marvel Universe. The series was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema, conceived during a period when Marvel sought to capitalize on the success of the television series The Incredible Hulk by establishing a female counterpart to the character. This specific issue features the writing of David Anthony Kraft and interior art by Mike Vosburg, who helped navigate the character's early development as she balanced her legal career with her gamma-powered identity.

The creative direction of this era focused on the dual nature of Jennifer Walters, often emphasizing her struggles with autonomy and the public perception of her transformation. While the initial series was short-lived, concluding after twenty-five issues, it laid the essential foundation for the character's later evolution into the more lighthearted, fourth-wall-breaking persona developed by writers like John Byrne. Issue #10 is recognized by collectors as a mid-run installment that maintains the grounded, noir-influenced tone established in the title's debut.
