Ultimate Spider-Man #109

Ultimate Spider-Man issue #109 was published in 2007 as part of the 'Death of a Goblin' story arc within Brian Michael Bendis’s landmark reimagining of the Marvel Universe. Launched in 2000, the Ultimate imprint was designed to modernize classic origins for a new generation of readers, stripping away decades of convoluted continuity. This specific issue features the ongoing tension between Peter Parker and the Green Goblin, continuing the series' focus on the high-stakes personal consequences of teenage heroism.

The interior artwork for this period was provided by Stuart Immonen, who took over from original artist Mark Bagley, bringing a cleaner, more dynamic aesthetic to the title. Immonen’s design approach emphasized the cinematic framing and emotional realism that defined the Ultimate line’s success. The issue was received as a solid chapter in the series' consistent run, praised by fans for maintaining the narrative momentum that made the title a critical pillar of Marvel's 2000s output.
