Coca-Cola Santa

The Coca-Cola Santa Pop! figure depicts the iconic iteration of Santa Claus first illustrated for Coca-Cola advertisements by Haddon Sundblom in 1931. Commissioned by the D'Arcy Advertising Agency to humanize the brand during the winter months, Sundblom moved away from the austere, stern depictions of the era, creating a warm, jolly, and realistic figure that cemented the image of Santa as a grandfatherly man in a bright red suit. This specific Pop! vinyl figure is part of Funko's Ad Icons line, a series dedicated to honoring historical advertising mascots that have become deeply embedded in global consumer culture.

Released as number 159 in the series, this design translates Sundblom's classic 1930s character into Funko's signature stylized aesthetic. The designers emphasized the character's signature white beard, soft features, and the vibrant red color palette that Coca-Cola effectively trademarked through their decades of consistent holiday marketing. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by both Funko collectors and branding enthusiasts, serving as a nostalgic tribute to the enduring collaboration between the soda company and the artist whose vision fundamentally shaped modern Christmas iconography.
