Where it came from
The Devil's Throne Pop! figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Games series, specifically celebrating the challenging 2017 run-and-gun video game Cuphead. Developed by Studio MDHR, the game gained massive cultural traction for its distinct 1930s-inspired rubber-hose animation style, which Funko sought to replicate in its vinyl figure line by emphasizing the character's exaggerated expressions and ink-blot aesthetics.
This particular item depicts the game's primary antagonist, The Devil, seated upon his throne. The design reflects the developers' commitment to traditional hand-drawn animation techniques, translating the villain's menacing presence into a compact, stylized collectible. The figure was received well by fans of the franchise, serving as a centerpiece for collectors looking to represent the game's climactic final boss encounter.
