Hyenas - Banzai, Shenzi, Ed

The Banzai, Shenzi, and Ed figures were released as part of the Funko Pop! Disney line to commemorate the 1994 animated classic The Lion King. These characters represent the trio of hyenas who serve as the primary henchmen to Scar. Their design aims to capture the distinct, manic personalities of the pack, emphasizing their exaggerated features and hunched, scavenger-like postures that translate the film's iconic character animation into the stylized, large-headed aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand.

The figures are based on the character designs created by the Disney animation team during the production of the 1994 film. By casting the three as a set, the collection appeals to fans of the film's darker, comedic relief elements. Upon release, these figures were well received by collectors for their attention to detail, specifically the individual expressions that help differentiate Banzai, Shenzi, and Ed despite their shared role in the narrative.
