Where it came from
The Wenwu Pop! figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Marvel line to commemorate the 2021 film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The figure depicts the primary antagonist and father of the protagonist, Wenwu, styled in his iconic black and gold attire with his signature ten rings displayed on his forearms, reflecting the character's nuanced portrayal within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Designed in the signature Funko aesthetic, the figure emphasizes a stylized, oversized head and minimalist features meant to represent the character's imposing presence. The design process focused on capturing the gravitas of actor Tony Leung Chiu-wai's performance while maintaining the uniform look of the broader Pop! Marvel series, which has become a staple of modern pop culture memorabilia since its inception.
