Where it came from
The Shere Khan character card from the Hyperia City set represents a pivotal addition to the game's lineup, introduced to integrate classic literary archetypes into the collection's futuristic urban setting. Developed as part of a thematic expansion, the card was designed to challenge existing meta-game strategies by introducing high-impact, aggressive mechanics that reward player timing and tactical placement.
The visual design was overseen by the core artistic team at Hyperia City, who sought to blend traditional predator aesthetics with the neon-drenched, industrial art style prevalent in the game’s world. The illustration emphasizes a sleek, imposing posture intended to convey the character's dominance, and the piece was generally well-received by players for both its striking visual composition and its balanced utility within the uncommon rarity tier.
