Angel

The Angel token from the Core Set 2019 release was introduced as a utility piece for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Wizards of the Coast includes these double-sided tokens to represent creatures created by spell effects during gameplay, ensuring players have a physical reference for temporary game state entities. This specific token is designed to function alongside cards that generate 4/4 Angel creatures with flying, a common archetype within the game's white color identity.

The illustration for this token follows the established aesthetic language of modern Magic sets, emphasizing high-fantasy motifs and ethereal light. As a standard utility token, it was produced to be widely accessible, focusing on functional clarity for tournament and casual play rather than the stylistic experimentation often reserved for rare collector cards. The reception of these tokens is generally tied to their practical utility in facilitating gameplay, serving as a reliable standard in the long-running Core Set series.
