Beast

The Beast token, identified as card number 14 in the Commander 2019 token set, was released by Wizards of the Coast in August 2019. It was designed to accompany the preconstructed Commander decks of that year, specifically providing a physical representation for cards that created Beast creature tokens during gameplay. Tokens like these are essential components of the Magic: The Gathering experience, serving as visual aids for board states rather than playable cards in a standard deck.

The artwork for this token reflects the illustrative style consistent with the contemporary Magic: The Gathering aesthetic, emphasizing a primal and rugged creature design. The illustration was created to evoke the traditional fantasy interpretation of a Beast within the game's color-coded mechanics, usually aligned with green-aligned aggressive strategies. While the token itself is functional rather than collectable in the traditional sense of rarity, it remains a well-regarded piece of the Commander 2019 release for players who prioritize thematic consistency on their playmats.
