Where it came from
Exotic Orchard is a functional land card that first appeared in the 1997 set Tempest. Its design philosophy centers on adaptability, providing players with access to colors of mana based on the lands controlled by their opponents. This makes it a staple in multiplayer formats like Commander, where the card’s utility scales naturally with the number of participants and the diversity of their decks.
The version from The Brothers' War Commander set features thematic artwork by artist Wisnu Tan. In the context of this artifact-heavy expansion, the art captures the aesthetic of the war-torn landscape of Dominaria, reimagining a classic utility card to fit the visual identity of the set while maintaining its status as a reliable engine for deck building across all color identities.
