Where it came from
Exotic Orchard was originally released in the 2010 Planechase set as a utility land designed to support multi-colored decks in multiplayer formats. The card functions as a chameleon, tapping for any color of mana that an opponent controls, which rewards players for playing in high-interaction games where diverse color identities are present on the board.
The version featured in the Midnight Hunt Commander set retains the original functional design while utilizing the specific aesthetic sensibilities of the Innistrad plane. As part of the Commander expansion associated with the set, this printing was intended to provide accessible, essential land staples for players looking to refine their deck lists for the popular multiplayer format.
