Where it came from
Force of Vigor was released as card number 77 in the 1990 Marvel Universe Series 1 trading card set, produced by Impel. This inaugural set is highly significant as it marked the first comprehensive trading card collection dedicated to the modern Marvel Comics lineup, capturing the aesthetic and editorial direction of the publisher at the turn of the decade.
The card features dynamic illustration consistent with the house style of Marvel artists during the early 1990s, focusing on the core concept of superhuman power. Designed to capitalize on the burgeoning market for comic book collectibles, the set was widely received by fans of the era as a definitive reference guide to the heroes and villains of the Marvel mythos, serving as a nostalgic touchstone for the period's vibrant visual design.
