Glen Elendra

Glen Elendra was released in 2012 as part of the Planechase 2012 expansion, a multiplayer-focused set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game that introduced the planar deck mechanic. As a plane card, it represents the lush, faerie-inhabited landscape of the titular Glen Elendra on the plane of Lorwyn. The card's design serves as an environment modifier that players can visit during a game, providing unique rules and mechanical advantages tied to the setting's identity.

The card features illustration by Terese Nielsen, a prominent artist within the game's history known for her distinct painterly style. Nielsen’s work on this piece captures the ethereal, verdant aesthetic of Lorwyn, emphasizing the mystical nature of the site. Upon its release, the card was well-received by players for its ability to reflect the flavorful lore of the plane, offering a thematic experience that allowed for the casting of creature spells without paying their mana costs, a mechanic that mirrors the powerful magic inherent to that corner of the multiverse.
