Where it came from
Mana Flare was originally released in the 1994 Alpha set, designed by Richard Garfield as a global enchantment that doubles the mana produced by all lands. Its inclusion in the Wilds of Eldraine: Enchanting Tales bonus sheet serves as a thematic nod to the set's focus on fairy tales and high-fantasy enchantments, offering a reprint with updated frame aesthetics that evoke the mystical nature of the Eldraine plane.
The art for this version was provided by artist Volkan Baga, who utilized the unique 'Enchanting Tales' border treatment—a frame style inspired by classic storybook illustrations and gothic architecture. The design was received positively by the Magic: The Gathering community, as it provided a highly playable classic card with a distinct, artistic presentation that separates it from standard set-card printings.
