Where it came from
Repeated Reverberation was released as part of the Core Set 2020 promotional series in July 2019. It was designed as a rare sorcery card for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game, serving as a specialized tool for players looking to duplicate instant or sorcery spells. The card functions as a strategic piece within the game's complex stack mechanics, allowing for powerful synergy in deck-building archetypes that rely on spell-copying effects.
The artwork for this specific promotional version was created by illustrator Anna Steinbauer, who is known for her contributions to the game's expansive visual identity. Her design captures a sense of arcane resonance, aligning with the card's mechanical function of echoing magical energy. Within the community, the card is recognized for its utility in Commander and other casual formats, often valued for the tactical flexibility it provides during high-stakes turns.
