This specific iteration, numbered 887, was created by the creative agency AKQA, who were tasked with translating the card’s long-standing status as a staple resource-generator into the visual language of the Fallout universe. The artwork aims to evoke the nostalgic, propagandistic style of Vault-Tec advertisements, presenting the Sol Ring as if it were a high-tech survival utility.
