Where it came from
Sunbird's Invocation was originally introduced in the Ixalan expansion of Magic: The Gathering in 2017. As an enchantment that rewards players for casting spells from their hand by allowing them to reveal and potentially cast additional cards from the top of their library, it quickly became a staple in Commander formats for its ability to generate significant card advantage and board presence.
The version from the Bloomburrow Commander set, designated as collector number 116, reimagines the card within the whimsical, anthropomorphic woodland aesthetic of the Bloomburrow plane. The art direction emphasizes the charming yet high-fantasy tone of the set, integrating the iconic solar imagery of the original card with the softer, storybook-inspired visual style characteristic of the release.
