Where it came from
The Keeper of Favorite Cards, cataloged as RW90c, originates from an unidentified promotional event that likely took place during a period of experimentation within the collectible card market. These cards were typically released as limited-run tokens intended to capture the ephemeral nature of personal curation, serving as a symbolic vessel for the collector’s most prized pieces rather than functioning as part of a traditional game engine.
The design aesthetic favors a minimalist, contemplative visual language, shifting the focus from stats and gameplay mechanics to the act of archiving. While the specific artist remains uncredited in the broader cataloging of the set, the composition is widely regarded by enthusiasts as a classic example of the 'meta-collectible' genre, valued for its understated illustration and its role in honoring the sentimental relationship between a collector and their favorite items.
