Time Walk

Time Walk was originally printed as part of the Alpha set in 1993, designed by Richard Garfield as one of the 'Power Nine' cards for the trading card game Magic: The Gathering. Its creation was rooted in the early, experimental design phase of the game, where the intent was to provide high-impact, rare rewards that altered the fundamental rules of gameplay. The iconic original artwork by Amy Weber captures a ethereal, dreamlike quality that helped cement the card's status as a foundational piece of gaming history.

The 2018 Vintage Championship printing is a commemorative version of this legendary card, released as a promotional item for participants of the annual high-level tournament. These cards are highly sought after by collectors for their historical significance and the prestige associated with the Vintage format, which allows for the most powerful cards in the game's history to be played. The design of this version mirrors the aesthetic of the original while incorporating modern formatting, serving as a bridge between the game's earliest roots and its competitive evolution.
