Wolf

The Wolf token, numbered 13 in the Masters 25 set released by Wizards of the Coast in 2018, was created as a gameplay aid for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This set was designed to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the game, featuring reprints of iconic cards from throughout the brand's history. Tokens are essential components in Magic, used to represent creatures or objects created by spells and abilities during play, and they are typically inserted into booster packs to provide players with the necessary physical markers.

The artwork for this particular token follows the established aesthetic of contemporary Magic token design, which aims for thematic clarity and stylistic cohesion with the set's broader visual language. While the artists behind individual tokens in these supplemental sets are often focused on providing a functional representation of the creature type, the design emphasizes high-fantasy realism to ensure it remains distinct on the table. The token was received as a standard utility inclusion, serving as a functional collectible for players who utilize cards that generate wolf creatures.
