Monkey.D.Luffy

The ST14-001 Monkey D. Luffy leader card was released as the flagship centerpiece of the '3D2Y' Starter Deck, designed to commemorate the pivotal two-year training period in the One Piece narrative. This set was produced by Bandai for the One Piece Card Game to bridge thematic gaps between the series' formative arcs and the post-timeskip era, specifically highlighting the growth and resolve Luffy developed during his isolation on Rusukaina.

The card’s design employs dynamic, character-centric illustration that reflects Luffy's evolved combat prowess and leadership style. By focusing on the '3D2Y' motif, the design team aimed to provide players with a mechanical representation of the Straw Hat crew’s tactical patience and resurgence. Upon its release, the card was well-received by the competitive community for its integration into existing deck archetypes, serving as a functional tribute to the series' most significant transitional epoch.
