Where it came from
The Tsuru (OP02-106) card originates from the 'Premium Booster -The Best-' set for the One Piece Card Game, which serves as a compilation of some of the most impactful cards from the game's initial release period. The card depicts Tsuru, the former Vice Admiral of the Marine Headquarters, whose strategic presence in the series is mirrored by her gameplay utility as a low-cost card capable of reducing an opponent's power.
This specific full-art iteration highlights the character's seasoned, tactical aesthetic, emphasizing the clean, bold lines synonymous with the franchise's card art direction. Designed to resonate with both competitive players and fans of the source material, the artwork aims to capture her authoritative demeanor during the Marineford arc. Upon release, the card was well-received by the player base for its consistency and the premium visual treatment that distinguishes the 'The Best' collection from standard booster expansions.
