Where it came from
The Tsuru character card (OP02-106) was released as part of the Event Pack Vol. 2 for the One Piece Card Game. These packs were distributed during organized play events, specifically tied to store-level tournaments held during the early operational cycles of the game. The item was designed to incentivize participation in local competitive scenes by offering alternate-art or promotional versions of key characters to players.
The card features the character Tsuru, a Vice Admiral of the Marines, portrayed in the tactical and bold aesthetic consistent with the One Piece trading card game’s art direction. As a promotional offering within the early promotional series, it serves as a collectible representation of the character's strategic role in the game’s meta, favored by collectors for its limited availability within the specific tournament window.
