Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts

Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Starter Deck: Yugi Evolution, released in the early 2000s. This set was designed to update the player experience by featuring cards iconic to the anime's protagonist, Yugi Muto. As a Normal Monster, Gazelle serves as a bridge between early-game utility and the more complex Fusion Summoning mechanics that defined the series, specifically its role in forming the Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast fusion monster.

The card's design features the distinct aesthetic typical of Kazuki Takahashi’s character concepts, emphasizing a fantastical creature that balances bestial power with mystical themes. While common in rarity, it became a staple for collectors and players focused on completing Yugi’s signature deck. Its reception has remained consistent over the years, viewed primarily as a nostalgic piece that captures the foundational era of the card game's art style.
