System der Christlichen Glaubenslehre, Zweiter Band

This volume is a modern reprint of Isaak August Dorner’s 'System der Christlichen Glaubenslehre,' a monumental work of 19th-century Protestant dogmatics. Originally published in the late 1870s, the text represents the culmination of Dorner's efforts to reconcile traditional Christian theology with the burgeoning critical historical methods of his era. As a prominent figure in the Prussian theological landscape, Dorner sought to position his system as a mediating force between orthodoxy and the radical modernism that characterized academic life in Berlin at the time.

The intellectual design of the work reflects the mid-to-late 19th-century German preference for systematic, exhaustive analysis, with Dorner specifically aiming to demonstrate the internal coherence of faith within the context of developmental history. The text was widely respected for its academic rigor, though it was often critiqued for its dense, intricate prose and its attempt to balance the absolute authority of the divine with the subjective experiences of human consciousness. This particular edition by Creative Media Partners preserves the historical substance of the second volume for contemporary theological study.
