Guardians of the Galaxy #11

Guardians of the Galaxy issue 11, released in May 2014, is part of the series written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Nick Bradshaw. This era of the title was heavily influenced by the momentum building toward the Marvel Cinematic Universe film adaptation, focusing on a roster that balanced classic members with characters popularized by the upcoming movie. The series sought to ground the cosmic team in a more contemporary, cinematic aesthetic while maintaining the space-faring adventure tropes established in previous runs.

The art in this issue, provided by Nick Bradshaw, is characterized by dense detail and an energetic, expressive style that became a hallmark of his tenure on the book. Bradshaw’s work on this run was generally well-received for its intricate line work and dynamic layouts, which helped distinguish the visual identity of the series during a period when Marvel was actively rebranding its cosmic properties for a broader audience.
