Oltretomba Collezione #10

Oltretomba Collezione was a long-running Italian fumetti neri series published by Ediperiodici throughout the 1970s. These pocket-sized comics, often referred to as 'diabolici,' emerged during a boom in adult-oriented, transgressive horror storytelling that challenged the traditional content constraints of Italian comics. Issue number 10, like its counterparts, served as a vehicle for the gothic and macabre themes that defined the publisher's output during this era.

The visual identity of these issues was characterized by high-contrast, black-and-white art designed for rapid consumption and visceral impact. While the series often featured anonymous creative teams to maintain a uniform, pulp-house aesthetic, the illustrations leaned heavily into the campy, eroticized horror tropes popular with Italian readers at the time. The work was widely seen as a product of low-brow entertainment culture, intended for newsstand circulation rather than preservation, which has since contributed to its status as a niche collectible for students of international pulp history.
