Oltretomba Collezione #29

Oltretomba Collezione was a long-running Italian horror comic series published by Edizioni ErreGì starting in the early 1970s. This series, including issue number 29, was part of a wave of 'fumetti neri' or adult-oriented horror comics that gained immense popularity in Italy during that decade. These pocket-sized volumes were designed for quick consumption, offering tales of the macabre, eroticism, and dark fantasy that reflected the countercultural shift in Italian publishing at the time.

The series relied on a rotating team of illustrators and writers who prioritized atmospheric storytelling over complex character continuity. The art style typically featured stark, high-contrast black-and-white ink work intended to heighten the sense of dread and mystery inherent in the genre. While the titles were often subject to criticism from conservative factions for their mature themes, they became cult classics among collectors for their distinct visual identity and their role in the evolution of Italian genre fiction.
