Where it came from
The Jack Skellington as Vampire figure, numbered 158 in the Pop! Disney series, was released by Funko as part of their ongoing celebration of the 1993 stop-motion classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. Designed to capture the iconic scene where the Pumpkin King attempts to adopt the role of 'Sandy Claws,' the figure features Jack in his makeshift vampire attire, complete with a flowing cape and distinctive collar. It was created to satisfy the high demand from fans for variants that highlight the various stages of Jack's misguided foray into Christmas traditions.
The design follows Funko’s signature aesthetic, characterized by a large, square-shaped head and simplified, stylized features that bridge the gap between high-end collectibles and accessible toys. This particular version was well-received by collectors who prioritize film-accurate costumes and deep-cut references from the movie's script. It stands as a notable entry in the larger Nightmare Before Christmas set, serving as a companion piece to the many other iterations of Jack Skellington that Funko has produced over the years.
