Where it came from
Sally, the tragic heroine from Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion classic The Nightmare Before Christmas, was introduced to the Funko Pop! Disney lineup as figure number 209. Designed to capture the character's patchwork aesthetic, the figure reflects the studio's broader initiative to translate complex, stylized animation into the simplified, oversized-head silhouette that defines the Pop! brand.
The figure draws heavily from the original character design by Rick Heinrichs and Tim Burton, utilizing the iconic stitched-together skin and rag-doll dress as primary visual markers. Within the collecting community, this piece is recognized as a staple of the holiday-crossover subgenre, representing a period where Funko began diversifying its catalog to include more cult-classic properties alongside mainstream Disney intellectual property.
