Where it came from
Released as part of the Disney Pop! series in 2018, this figure commemorates the 1994 animated classic The Lion King. It depicts the antagonist Scar surrounded by stylized translucent orange flames, a design choice intended to capture his climactic final battle atop Pride Rock. The figure was produced as a thematic variant, building on the popularity of standard character releases by incorporating atmospheric elements from key scenes in the film.
The design follows the signature Funko aesthetic, featuring the oversized head and simplified proportions characteristic of the brand. By focusing on the visual motif of fire, the sculpt highlights the dramatic tension of the film's conclusion. It was received by collectors as a notable addition to the Disney line, specifically appealing to fans of the franchise who prefer action-oriented depictions of classic characters.
