Provenance

Where it came from

The Centaur token, designated as collector number 8 in the Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Commander set, was released by Wizards of the Coast in 2021. This token serves as a functional game piece for players using specific cards within the Commander expansion that generate Centaur creature tokens, such as those appearing in the Coven Counters deck.

The visual design of the token follows the aesthetic established for the return to the gothic horror plane of Innistrad. The artwork was commissioned to align with the set's broader theme of autumnal transformation and wilderness survival, balancing the rustic nature of the Centaur with the atmospheric, muted color palette characteristic of the Midnight Hunt release.
