Clue

The Clue token was introduced as part of the Innistrad Remastered set, released by Wizards of the Coast to distill the gothic horror themes of the original Innistrad block into a single, cohesive experience. As a token card, it serves a specific mechanical purpose in Magic: The Gathering, allowing players to represent the Clue artifact created by various cards that feature the investigate ability. The design adheres to the dark, atmospheric aesthetic synonymous with the plane of Innistrad, emphasizing themes of mystery, investigation, and eldritch tension.

This particular card is part of the broader series of tokens found within the Remastered set, intended to provide players with official, cohesive visual representations of secondary game pieces. While the illustration reflects the established visual identity of Innistrad—characterized by its somber color palette and Victorian-era horror motifs—it functions primarily as a utility item meant to facilitate streamlined gameplay. It was received by the community as a functional and thematic addition, appreciated for its consistency with the set's immersive narrative environment.
