Command Tower

Command Tower was originally introduced in the 2011 Commander product line as a utility land designed specifically to support the burgeoning multiplayer Commander format. Its mechanical function—providing any color of mana required for a commander's color identity—made it an essential inclusion for multi-colored decks, effectively stabilizing the mana bases of players who otherwise struggled with the format's diverse deck-building requirements.

This particular printing from The Brothers' War Commander set features art that reflects the industrial, artifact-heavy aesthetic of the source expansion. As a staple card, it has been reprinted numerous times with varying illustrations, but its design philosophy remains consistent: offering a reliable, colorless land source that facilitates the logistical demands of the format without providing an unfair competitive advantage, ensuring its status as one of the most widely used cards in the history of the game.
