Dimir Infiltrator

Dimir Infiltrator was first introduced in the 2005 Ravnica: City of Guilds set, representing the Dimir guild, a clandestine organization of spies and assassins. This specific version hails from the 2016 Planechase Anthology, a collection that curated cards from across the history of the format to highlight the diverse, multiversal warfare central to the game's lore. The card is designed to mechanically embody the stealthy nature of its guild, utilizing an unblockable ability that makes it a persistent threat on the battlefield.

The card’s illustration, rendered by Greg Staples, captures the shadowy, high-fantasy aesthetic characteristic of the Ravnica plane. Staples focused on conveying a sense of movement and ambiguity, depicting the infiltrator as a spectral figure blending into the urban cityscape. Since its debut, the card has been widely received by players as a staple for deck-building strategies that rely on small, evasive creatures, particularly in formats where its ability to tutor for other low-cost utility cards provides essential consistency.
