Eldrazi

The Eldrazi token, marked as collector number 1 in the Phyrexia: All Will Be One Commander token set, represents a conceptual bridge between Magic: The Gathering’s most feared antagonists and the Phyrexian narrative arc. These tokens were produced to support mechanics that generate creature tokens during gameplay, serving as a functional utility piece for players using specific cards within the Commander format. While the Eldrazi are traditionally associated with the planes of Zendikar or Innistrad, their inclusion as a token in a Phyrexian-themed product highlights the game's expansive multiverse and the frequent interaction between disparate legendary threats.

The design of these tokens follows the standard aesthetic established by Wizards of the Coast for secondary game components, prioritizing clarity and functional iconography for tabletop play. As a token, it lacks a singular primary illustrator credit in the way core set cards do, but it reflects the broader visual language of the Eldrazi—characterized by distorted, otherworldly anatomy and a muted, ominous color palette. These tokens are generally well-regarded by collectors for their consistency in layout and their role in maintaining the tactile immersion of the game experience.
