This card is part of the Strixhaven Art Series, a collection of promotional cards released by Wizards of the Coast in 2021 to accompany the Strixhaven: School of Mages expansion for Magic: The Gathering. These cards were designed to highlight the high-fantasy aesthetic of the set, which focuses on the five distinct colleges of a magical university. They were distributed primarily through set booster packs, serving as a collectible gallery piece intended to showcase the illustrative talent behind the expansion's world-building.

The artwork featured on this specific card was commissioned to capture the lush, untamed environment of the Strixhaven campus. The illustrator was tasked with emphasizing the magical flora associated with the university grounds, aiming for a painterly style that distinguishes these art-focused cards from standard gameplay components. Upon release, the series was well-received by collectors for its clean, frame-less presentation and high-quality print finish, which effectively elevated the individual illustrations into standalone pieces of art.
