Imprisoned in the Moon

Imprisoned in the Moon was originally released in the 2016 Eldritch Moon expansion for Magic: The Gathering. The card represents a pivotal narrative moment where the planeswalker Emrakul, the Promised End, is sealed within the moon of the plane Innistrad. Mechanically, the card acts as a creative removal spell, transforming any permanent into a colorless land, which serves as a flavorful mechanical nod to the entity's containment.

The artwork for this specific Modern Horizons 3 Commander printing features a distinct visual style consistent with the modern era of the game's aesthetic direction. The design process for this iteration focused on updating the card's visual identity while maintaining its status as a staple for Commander format players who favor blue-aligned interactive control elements. Its reception among the player base has been largely positive, praised for its versatility in neutralizing high-threat permanents in multiplayer environments.
