Insect

The Insect token from the Innistrad Remastered set serves as a thematic representation of the gothic horror aesthetic that defines the plane of Innistrad. As part of a remastered compilation, this token was curated to support mechanics introduced across the original Innistrad block, specifically designed to populate the board when certain creature cards generate insect swarms or infestations. Its inclusion serves both a functional role for gameplay stability and a nostalgic nod to the darker, creature-focused nature of the setting.

The visual design prioritizes the unsettling, spindly realism associated with the plane's transformation and decay. Following the established art direction of the Innistrad series, the illustration utilizes a moody, high-contrast palette to convey a sense of dread and vulnerability. By stripping away extraneous frame elements, the design focuses entirely on the creature's anatomy, ensuring it remains recognizable and distinct when placed alongside other tokens in the remastered collection.
